Looking for an EPL Team to Support?

I am a blue collar, working class 26 year old American. I am a coal miner. As of 2009 I fell in love with the beautiful game. As a lifelong sports fanatic and player, soccer/football was never offered or even talked about in my area. I was introduced to the game by accident. one late night in 2009 i couldnt sleep, and said to hell with it, and turned on the Fox Soccer Channel. It was an EPL game between Birmingham City and Spurs. I was amazed in the conditioning of the players, the tactical play, and of course, the crowd involvement. So much passion. Of course at this time I KNEW OF NOTHING about the game..but over time i have done my homework. Ive tried following Birmingham, but I just cannot get into the team. So eventually I tried liking tottenham. The thing is, I just dont feel like this is my team. I may be completely wrong, but they just seem like a more white collar team then what I am looking for. So for years ive been stuck just bouncing game to game, just enjoying the league and sport. Let me make this clear, I do not want to support Man United or Chealsea..it would be like jumping on the bandwagon of the american Lakers or Yankess, which I cannot stand. Looking for a solid team to support. Not nessacarily a Champions League contender, but also not in the relegation zone about to head to the npower champs league(if so theyre would be no way of following them here in the states besides online). A lot of folks have offered up Fulham or Everton, mainly because of the U.S. players that have came through, but ahh, that doesnt effect me any. Then people offer up..what about West Ham, they are a blue collar team...well i dont want to be another american west ham supporter with a bunch of kids whove watched Green Street toooo many times. It has been 2 years of just following the league, but now im really looking to settle in with a club. Given i respect and enjoy the whole league, im open to any suggestions.
