Overall, which grocery chain is more profitable?

Randalls (Safeway Houston division) or Super Fresh (A&P Philadelphia division) I know, kind of apples and oranges here. Randalls stores seem to often be higher volume, but now only a few of their stores are left. They cater to the rich crowd now. I ask because my best friend runs a Super Fresh and his store might close. He might be out of a job. Should he move to Houston after living in Philly so long? Remember, the trend is the further west the city, the richer overall!
