Can Boxer puppies actually cost $10,000?

my friend is a big bragger and she is getting a new puppy. She wont stop bragging about it and it's a boxer puppy. She says it costed her $10,000 even though it has only 3 shots and it's purebreed. I searched on the web and the most for a champion breed boxer puppy with ALL of it's shots is only $2,000 ( and that was the most expensive that i saw!)
